Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award Part 4

Thank you to Lauren at Always Me for the nomination!  If you haven't been to Lauren's blog, hop on over!  She has an awesome set-up!

As I've said, I'm just going to answer the questions because I've already been nominated and nominated other people.  Here we go!

1.  What's your favorite book-to-movie adaptation?  It doesn't necessarily have to be recent or even considered a 'great' movie.
- Um.  I actually like a bunch... Let's see... The Hunger Games, Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies, Harry Potter and The Giver!  There are probably some more that I'm missing but I have a whole bunch of movies that I just recently watched and haven't really thought about yet soo...

2.  What book would you like to become a movie/TV show?
-  This is a no-brainer: Throne of Glass!  I think it would make an excellent movie if they did it right!

3.  What famous person would send you into total fangirl/boy mode?
- Jennifer Lawrence, Morgan Freeman, Taylor Swift, Chris Hemsworth, and Robert Downey Jr.!  Because they're all awesome!

4.  Favorite Harry Potter book (not having read them all is not an option!)?
- Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban!  Lupin is one of my favorite characters (right up there with McGonagall).  And... yeah that's basically it.  I love all of the books so it's a really hard choice and that's the only thing that distinguishes this one!  Of course I avoid rereading The Half-Blood Prince for that ending... *wails*

5.  Is there a food that a book has made you want to try?
- Butterbeer from Harry Potter!  It sounds so good and I've heard the stuff they have in Harry Potter World as well as the recipes online are really good!  I haven't gotten around to making any though :(

6.  Do you like deckled edges on books?
- I actually do!  I only own one book that actually has deckled edges (The Tale of Despereaux).  I just love the old feel it gives the book and it makes for gripping the pages easier.  I don't like the 'modern' sleek white pages.  I want my yellow tinted deckled pages!  Who's with me?

7.  Ninjas break into your house and plan on stealing your bookshelf, what character do you channel to beat them?
- Ha!  Celaena Sardothien!  She's a badass assassin!  Seriously, if you haven't read Throne of Glass, go do so now!

8.  What Disney character do you think you are most like?
- I'd say either Rapunzel or Elsa.  Rapunzel because she's brave but also kind and loves animals!  Elsa (without the awesomesauce ice powers - what I wouldn't give!) because she's pretty reserved and I am as well.  And... well I don't know, when I watched the movie I really connected with her.  I could totally see building myself an ice castle, having an awesome dress and Marshmallow, and just living by myself.  It actually sounds really appealing to me!

9.  What book release are you looking forward to most in 2015?
- Queen of Shadows!  It's the fourth Throne of Glass book.  I know, I'm a bit obsessed with that series... but the way Heir of Fire ended... I need the next one!  No other release can really compare!  Coming close though are The Heir (The Selection #4) and A Court of Thorns and Roses (by Sarah J. Maas author of Throne of Glass).  I've heard aCoTaR is especially good!

10.  If you could be one fictional character for a day, who would it be?
- Luna Lovegood (Harry Potter) when she's in Hogwarts!  I would love to attend Hogwarts and Luna is so awesome and sees all these strange things!  I'd love to experience all of them and just have her attitude for a day!

That's all for today!  What are your answers to some of these questions?  I'd love to hear your thoughts!

  1. Great post! I really need to watch The Giver. I'm pretty sure all of those people would send me into fangirl mode, too. :) Thanks!
